- Yesterday at 09:02am: Getting used to walking to Wynyard and thus avoiding the clusterfsck which is Town Hall station.
- Yesterday at 07:28pm: The guy who does the markets stuff on Aunty's evening news always has interesting things to say and graphs that enlighten.
- Today at 07:09am: I dreamt George Bush played Jack Sparrow in a theatre version of the movie. Condoleezza Rice was in the audience. Don't invade my dreams!

Bill Richardson has put an end to the death penalty in New Mexico, saying that while he personally believes in state sanctioned murder, he doesn't have confidence in the way it is implemented . I was reading an article in The Economist, the question is framed in an economic point of view. Though the death penalty enjoys a great deal of support in the United States, some states are considering scrapping it because killing an inmate is more expensive that a life without possibility of parole. Awesome guys. Don't scrap the death penalty because it's wrong or because it doesn't actually deter crime, but because it costs too much. |
